International company in the West Island of Montreal is seeking an accounting person to complete the accounting department team. In a multi-company structure, the bilingual individual with stronger English language will be responsible to help & assist all accounting staff activities. We are looking for a full time experienced bilingual Bookkeeper/Accounting Technician to work under the general supervision of the Corporate Controller. The dynamic, bilingual individual must have strong computer skills and experience with EPICOR or any other ERP SYSTEM and MS office, especially EXCEL. With a pleasant personality and a good communicator, the applicant must be able to work in a team environment. The applicant's strong organizational skills and familiarity with office procedures and strong attention to details will contribute to the success in this position. Required at a minimum D.E.P. or D.E.C. in business and accounting education. 3-5 years in a similar position which includes the following: General ledger account analysis, month end and year end procedures to trial balance, monthly accrual and adjusting journal entries and year-end schedules. Accounts payable processing-knowledge with US/CDN duties and customs is a requirement as the business uses several custom brokers and freight forwarders and conforms to NAFTA regulations. Billing, including A/R activities, analysis and collections. Reconciliations of inter-company accounts, payroll administration, banking & reconciliation. Government remittances and reporting-GST, QST & Corporate. And all other duties as assigned by the Controller. Salary to commensurate with experience,
