**Job Description**:
Responsible for the management of the member dining room food and beverage service in a manner that is most pleasing to members and their guests. Assure a high standard of appearance, hospitality and service in personnel and cleanliness of dining rooms. Supervise and train dining room staff. Implements staff incentive programs focused on upselling, customer service and teamwork. Manages budgetary restraints. Develops and implements programs to increase revenues and member and guest satisfaction.

**Job Tasks**
- Schedules personnel and plans dining room setup based upon anticipated guest counts and member needs.
- Takes reservations, checks table reservation schedules and maintains reservation book.
- Greats and seats members and guests.
- Hires, supervises and evaluates dining room staff.
- Supervises dining room staff to help assure proper service; services tables when required.
- Maintains and develops staff training in accordance to staff training guidelines.
- Ensures all uniforms are supplied and accounted for each staff member. Inspects dining room employees to ensure clean uniforms at all times.
- Serves as a liaison between the dining room and kitchen staff.
- Receives and resolves complaints concerning food, beverages and service, advises Food and Beverage Director about appropriate corrective action taken.
- Assures that all side-work is accomplished and that all cleaning of equipment and storage areas is completed according to schedule.
- Directs pre-meal meetings with dining room personnel; relays information and policy changes and briefs personnel.
- Ensures orders are taken and entered correctly into point of sale system, member billing is signed and correct.
- Monitors dining room labour and makes adjustments to achieve financial goals.
- Provides appropriate reports concerning employee hours, schedules and gratuities.
- Assures correct appearance, cleanliness and safety of dining room areas, equipment and fixtures; checks the maintenance of all equipment in the dining room and reports deficiencies and maintenance concerns.
- Ensures all service bars are operational and fully stocked at all times.
- Makes suggestions about improvements in dining room service procedures and layouts.
- Assures that the dining room and other club areas are secure at the end of business day.
- Maintains the inventory of dining room items of all service items and ensures quantity, proper storage.
- Assisting in developing inventory systems and continuous monitoring and updating.
- Assists and implements an on-going marketing program to increase dining room revenue.
- Develops and continually updates and refines policy and procedure manuals for service staff to increase quality and to control costs.
- Works in the dining room during all meal periods, assist in service as needed.
- Attends scheduled staff meetings.
- Confirms that all dining room closing procedures have been completed and assures that the area is secure.
- Ensures menus are updated in print and Jonas Point of Sale.
- Maintains “To Go” operation ensuring all supplies are stocked
- Designs floor plans in accordance with reservations.
- Assures that provincial law and club policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages are consistently followed.
- Develops standard operating procedures to help assure that bars are set up and operated efficiently.
- Maintains a service log regarding any notable member or guest behaviour.
- Develops and maintains a bar product and supplies inventory system for:

- Non-alcoholic beverages and mixes
- Ensure proper levels of Glassware and other bar supplies
- Performs other appropriate assignments and projects as required by the Food and Beverage Director.

**Salary Details**

This is a permanent year-round, full-time salary position. Applicants must be flexible and available for evenings and weekends.
