We are looking for an **ICT Network Specialist** to work with the COMsolve internal team, client, third parties and vendors assisting with installation, configuration, testing (cloud-based and/or on-premises), troubleshooting, operation, and maintenance of IP and telecom communications equipment. The successful applicant will follow the client’s processes and procedures to support custom configurations.
**Responsibilities**:
- Perform testing of IP and telecom communications networks and interfaces
- Troubleshoot complex IP (data/voice) and telecom communications issues
- Manage customer interface
- Provide support to the internal installation team with installs and overall functionality of IP and telecom communications equipment
- Training of less experienced employees
- On-premises customer assistance and support
- Understand requirements, understand existing features, design test cases and validate the new features accordingly
- Work with third parties and vendors to develop and maintain test plans and procedures
- Work with cross-functional teams to perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
**Job Requirements**:
- 3-5 years in testing VoIP products and/or emergency telephony solutions
- Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience
- **One or more** of the following security, SW and cloud certifications preferred: CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CCSK, CCSLP, AWS and/or Microsoft Azure certifications, SANS training
- Hands-on experience in Execution, Analysis, Regression and Test Automation of VoIP Products and Solutions
- Minimum of 1+ year of VoIP protocol (SIP) testing experience is required
- Good understanding of traditional telephony and VOIP protocol/Standards - SIP, ISUP, CAP, MAP, INAP, MGCP, SS7, IMS
- Hands-on experience in using tools such as Wireshark, Omnipeek, or similar tools
- Good debugging, logical reasoning, and analytical skills
- Reference ID: CS-21ICTS
- Willingness & clearance to travel intra-province in Canada and to the USA
- Willingness to learn standards and policies relating to new technology and public safety services.
**Experience & Certification/Licenses**:
- SIP: 3 years (preferred)
- Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD)
- Network Cabling Specialist (NCS)
- Experience with Policy and Standards for process mapping is an asset
- Experience with Public Safety ecosystem is an asset
- Bachelor’s degree is an asset
- G Driver license (required)
Training will be provided as may be required for specific customer requirements
