Summary*
The Manufacturing Manager is responsible to plan, organize, schedule, direct, and manage the production operations of the manufacturing division. They are responsible for driving results related to safety, quality, cost, and delivery by developing and managing short and long-term planning strategies, processes, and events that foster a positive experience for internal and external customers. They will coordinate the Manufacturing team to meet customer requirements and work closely with the Repair Manager to ensure targets are met.

**Job Duties & Responsibilities**
- Supervise the manufacturing personnel to ensure processes are within budget and time schedule.
- Organize efficiently the use of raw materials, ensure that materials and supplies are stocked and that all the equipment is up to date, safe, and in proper working order.
- Direct, control, and evaluate the daily operations on the floor for product flow and quality
- Develop and manage production schedules, determine labor gaps in production, and react based on relevant information
- Coordinate with Supply Chain to prioritize work in process and production planning to ensure execution and alignment with production outsourcing and inventory
- In coordination with the QHSE Coordinator, identify and prioritize quality improvement opportunities, develop sustainable action plans, investigate warranty claims, and help provide customer responses where required.
- Support the safety culture by encouraging staff to identify new hazards, ensure action related to incidents are executed, improve methods of controlling / reducing risk
- Monitor division Key Performance Indicators (KPI) including Conformance to Schedule, Direct Labor Variance, Overall Equipment Efficiency, others as developed.
- Participate in and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis process related to RHK’s strategy
- Liaise with department heads (Quality, Engineering, Procurement, Inside Sales and Repair/Assembly) to ensure RHK is delivering innovative, responsive, and reliable service to customers
- Support staff with CNC machine setups and programs.
- Interface with the ERP system to update and maintain the Master Production Schedule. Cut List, Job Travellers, and Capacity Plans.
- Deploy Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques to enhance the production environment and performance.
- Attend weekly meetings to communicate production results and plan future production objectives
- Perform other duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, completion post-secondary preferred.
- Journeyman Machinist Certification an asset.
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of ERP or MRP software required.
- Ability to effectively performance manage both direct and indirect reports.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Highly organized with strong time management skills.
- Knowledge of process driven operations preferred.

**Working Environment**
- This position requires individuals to safely be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, mechanical parts, and vibration.
- May be exposed to noise levels and sounds that might be loud or distracting.
- This position is active, requires standing, walking, bending, sitting.
- Use of PPE, including safety glasses and steel toe boots required.
