**About the Job**
NGE Canada is an affiliate of the NGE Group, a leading construction company based in France. As NGE expands its presence internationally, NGE Canada is looking for a qualified HR Generalist to join our RSSOM Project Team.
You will be part of an international team, composed mainly of engineers and construction employees, able to meet the expectations of the local and international markets.

**Mission**
The HR Generalist is responsible for assisting in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies, providing guidance and interpretation for business operations, participate in development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and standard reports for ongoing company requirements as well as assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs. They will help in suggesting new procedures and policies to continually improve efficiency of the HR department and organization as a whole, and to improve employee experience, ensuring legal compliance of HR provincial and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and/or procedures as required.
**Role and General Responsibilities**
- Prepare paperwork, schedule, and facilitate smooth new hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience
- Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance
- Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees in relation to absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters
- Responsible for tracking and keeping up to date employee information, as well as notifying respective company of any changes
- Be the primary backup for payroll processing, including bi-weekly and semi-monthly updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, tracking vacation/sick pay, importing expense reimbursements, inputting exceptions, hourly employee validations, and benefit changes
- Work on ad-hoc reports as needed
- Maintain relationships with employees and managers
- Provide Human Resources support to employees assigned to the project
- Support the HRBP with recruiting and any administrative tasks
- Maintain communication with Human Resources department from respective Partners
- Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contributes to the development of policies
- Assist with project initiatives, such as Lunch and Learns
- Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications and Education Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or a related field
- Additional HR training or experience is a plus
- A minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience required
- Knowledge of the Construction industry is preferred
- CHRP/CHRL designation is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ethics
- Resourceful, problem-solving attitude and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office including Excel, HRIS systems.
- Able to adapt quickly using new technical systems as needed
