Research Echocardiography Sonographer, Paediatrics

**Description**
Reporting to the KidSONO Organizational Lead, the Research Echocardiography Sonographer. Will be part of a program which aims to provide a comprehensive point-of-care ultrasound training environment for pediatric care providers across ACH, and lead the clinical integration of point-of-care ultrasound, ensuring that patients will benefit from this newly accessible technology and highly anticipated skillset.
**Summary of Key Responsibilities** (job functions include but are not limited to):
- Execute and manage all assigned phases of projects within the program, including defining objectives and timelines
- Lead the day-to-day operational aspects of the program
- Prepare program-related communication (e.g. questionnaires, reports, briefings, correspondence, presentations, etc.) and manage the communication between various levels of collaborators and stakeholders
- Collects Platform-related metrics and data for report generation, presentations, and publications
- Coordinate relevant knowledge translation outputs (e.g. websites, infographics, newsletters, brochures)
- Coordinate and follow up with program content providers (physicians) to ensure program deliverables are met
- Responsibility for accurate documentation of sonographic procedures and processing of results
- As a technical expert, provide in-scope supervision such as teaching and training for students, fellows, staff, and those involved in sonography research at our institution
- Assist KidSONO team with acquisition of patient data and ultrasound images for ongoing research projects
- Maintain databases of various sonograph and echocardiogram images and associated data to develop educational material
- Communicating research protocols to colleagues and discussing and giving feedback on strategic developments and service expansion
**Qualifications / Requirements**:
- Master's Degree in a discipline related to health or communications
- Minimum 2 years related experience being involved in coordinating project/program activities
- Graduate of a recognized diploma program in Diagnostic Sonography is required
- Must be a member with Sonography Canada (CRCS, CRGS)
- Must be a member with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, pediatric specialty training preferred
- Minimum 5 years of technical experience in medical sonography required
- Previous experience developing instructional courses for a technical audience required
- Previous experience working in a hospital or health care environment required
- Previous experience working with the European Space Agency is considered an asset
- Project management certification will be considered an asset
- Experience writing, editing, reviewing scientific/academic writing
- Experience establishing and working with standard operating procedures
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage change and assist people with adapting to change
- Demonstrated ability in professional writing, preparing reports and presentations
- Ability to compile, draft and maintain correspondence, spreadsheets, metrics and reports
- Experience developing and maintaining web-based content, experience with WordPress an asset
