An HR Coordinator helps management and employees maintain good relations with employees. They help people communicate with each other effectively, keep records about employees while helping Managers decide when to make reprimands, employee terminations, pay raises, or awards, and make sure that employees are treated fairly.

**Qualifications**:
The following are the principal qualifications for the position:
Education
- Post Secondary education in HR, Business Admin or related field
- Knowledge in Federal and Provincial Employment Law, Human Rights Codes and all other applicable legislation

Experience
- Minimum of 2-5 Human Resource experience, ideally within the construction industry

The following are the duties for the position:

- Implements the overall HR process and ensures that it is followed
- Develops short and long-term HR plans in conjunction with the leadership team
- Evaluates compensation (salary, bonuses, benefits) annually with the leadership team, making recommendations within established budgets
- Recommends HR practices which contribute to a high level of employee morale and motivation
- Conducts periodic surveys to measure employee satisfaction and engagement
- Oversees employee development needs (education and training)
- Prepares, modifies, and implements processes, procedures, and other documentation related to recruiting, onboarding, job descriptions, performance reviews, and disciplinary action
- Hires, onboards, trains, conducts performance evaluations, motivates, and takes corrective action with employees in conjunction with managers, including termination and offboarding
- Maintains employee files including resumes, job offers, job descriptions, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, dismissals, and other documents, ensuring confidential documents are stored securely
- Maintains employee leave calendar, recording sick days, vacations, etc.
- Maintains HR policies and regulations.
- Monitors compliance with company and legal requirements (anti-harassment, anti-bullying, health and safety standards, etc.)
