Reporting to the Director of Total Rewards and
**Talent Management, the People & Culture Talent Management Specialist (9-month Contract) **is responsible for the effective development and execution of Ballard's talent management programs, including performance management, succession planning, and employee engagement. We are ambitious, and as a team of two, we will redesign the talent engagement systems with a differentiated approach to talent engagement. We are tackling talent reviews, performance management, rewards and recognition and engagement with a focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion. You will be instrumental in building the programs that support the growth of leadership capability, bench strength and Ballard’s ability to attract and retain top talent globally.

**Some of your key responsibilities will include**
- Delivering global talent programs with business objectives, values, and aspirational culture in mind
- Partnering with learning and development, systems & analytics, business partners and talent acquisition teams to implement and manage high-potential, management, and development programs that align with long-range business strategies
- Advocating to advance and reinforce our people programs to grow better and keep our people with a focus on retention and engagement
- Keeping Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at the heart of the programs
- Driving culture and engagement with a data-driven approach
- Aligning award and recognition programs with business objectives

**You bring to the table**
- 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in a global capacity or commensurate enthusiasm and track record in rolling out talent programs that make a difference to the business
- Strong interpersonal skills and a customer service orientation/attitude
- Able to identify opportunities, successes, and failures quickly and act upon them in a thoughtful manner
- Strong written, presentation/verbal skills
- Demonstrated sensitivity and discretion when handling confidential information
- Demonstrated ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Demonstrated ability to be professional, calm, flexible, resilient, solution-oriented, and creative
- Cross-cultural sensitivity, knowledge of and ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds
- A relevant degree
