**OFFICE**
- Ongoing communication with field/office staff & client/contractor representative regarding site requirements & scheduling.
- Ensure clients’ needs are met in a professional & timely manner.
- Obtain relevant project information [ie site location & drawings, distribution list] as needed.
- Effectively & accurately communicate relevant project information to the project manager/management & keep them informed about status & any issues that may impact client relations or site conditions.

**REPORT PREPARATION/REVIEW**
- Assist the environmental department with research, field operations & report preparation & ensure that all project information & testing locations are displayed & calculated accurately.
- Assist in preparing project proposals, timeframes, schedule and budget.
- Prepare reports, drawings & identify recommendations based on sampling & field inspection.
- Compilation, statistical analysis & interpretation of field data

**ENVIRONMENTAL SAMPLES/FIELDWORK**
- Ensure that proper sampling methods are used & that all samples are submitted w/ the appropriate paperwork in a timely manner.
- Implement various environmental field programs for a variety of work mandates including [but not limited to] - Groundwater, surface water, sewage, soil, air and leachate sampling; Topographical surveying; test pit and drilling supervision; water well and drinking water sampling; construction inspections; environmental audits
- Work in field situations occasionally in remote locations using appropriate technology to monitor and record site conditions while operating and maintaining field equipment [sampling pumps, flow meters, survey equipment, etc.].
- Ensure clients’ needs are met in a professional & timely manner.
- Obtain relevant project information [ie site location & drawings, distribution list] as needed.
- Effectively & accurately communicate relevant project information to the project manager/management & keep them informed about status & any issues that may impact client relations or site conditions.

**Job Requirements**

**ENVIRONMENTAL/GEOTECHNICAL/CIVIL TECHNICIAN DIPLOMA GRADUATE OR UNDERGRADUATE DREGREE IN NATURAL SCIENCES [EARTH SCIENCE, ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE, OR ENGINEERING]**

Outstanding leadership, communication [both written & oral] & organizational skills a must
- Attention to detail, problem solving & ability to listen, learn & apply.
- Team player who thrives on working w/ other successful, energetic people in a fast-paced environment.
- Working Knowledge of Phase One & Two Environmental Site Assessments and Record of Site Condition Filings
- 2+ years of related field experience for environmental works (drilling, sampling, remediation oversight)
- Knowledge of both O.Reg 153/04 [Records of Site Condition] & O.Reg 406/19 [Excess Soils]
- Experience completing soil, vapour indoor, air sampling or sub-slab vapour sampling would be considered an asset.
- Working Knowledge of Provincial and Federal Environmental Regulations.
- Applicant must be physically fit to work and comfortable working in a high-stress environment with extreme weather fluctuations.
- Valid driver’s licence, auto insurance, clean driving record & reliable vehicle necessary.

Mileage compensation $0.65/km; monthly cell phone allowance
