Job Title: Chemical Technician

GFL Environmental is seeking a skilled Chemical Technician to support our operations in Hamilton, ON. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient handling of hazardous materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Classify and test chemical waste to determine its composition and potential hazards.
  • Bulk and prepare hazardous materials for shipment, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Sort and package pesticides for safe transportation.
  • Conduct inventory counts and label containers for accurate tracking.
  • Work safely at all times, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
Requirements:
  • University or College degree in Chemistry or equivalent industry experience.
  • Previous experience working in an industrial setting is preferred.
  • Valid G class Driver's license is an asset.
  • Previous forklift experience is also considered an asset.
