Environmental Technician/scientist

Our Environmental team provides due-diligence and/or regulatory compliance services to help our clients manage the complexities and liabilities associated with purchasing, selling, and/or redeveloping potentially contaminated properties. These services include, but are not limited to, Phase One and Phase Two Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), soil and groundwater remediations, and risk assessments. Our team uses our knowledge of the applicable regulations and guidelines, the site-specific details, and our understanding of the client’s needs to develop innovative, holistic solutions that meet the client’s goals and objectives, while ensuring environmental compliance for the protection of human health and ecological receptors.

**As part of your role, you may expect to be involved in**:
- Co-ordination and execution of field work associated with our services (including exposure to other disciplines);
- Preparation of technical reports;
- Communication with clients and other EnVision team members to assist with the development and execution of work;
- Assisting in proposal preparation;
- Ensuring high quality technical work, including field methodology, reporting, and client deliverables;
- Fostering an atmosphere of continuous improvement;
- Proactively committing to creating a positive work environment;
- Supporting Health and Safety programs and initiatives;
- Collaborating with other disciplines at EnVision with respect to multi-disciplinary projects;
- Travelling to sites within the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario, as needed; and,
- Any other functions assigned as part of your employment.
- An undergraduate degree in Geoscience, Engineering or a related discipline or technology/technician diploma
- Knowledge of earth science, geology, hydrogeology, and environmental chemistry
- Eligible for registration with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), Professional Geoscientists Ontario (PGO), or _Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists_ (OACETT) would be an asset
- A valid G license, vehicle, and appropriate insurance
- Comfortable interacting with the public, clients, contractors, and co-workers
- Ability to progress towards working independently with mínimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, and to proactively respond to time-sensitive issues
- Ability to work outdoors, in all seasons and weather
- Ability to up lift up to 50lbs
