**WHAT YOU WILL DO**:
**ROLE**
The Team Lead, Coiled Tubing Services is a full-time permanent role that will provide leadership, guidance, and professional development to direct reports while supporting departmental planning and ensuring high-quality technical support for clients. This role requires expertise in delivering advanced, complex, and multi-disciplinary technical solutions to both external and internal clients.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Accountable to provide leadership, direction, coaching and mentoring to technical professionals, including performance management.
- Assist with department planning and budgeting including coiled tubing string management
- Encourage and support skill-building initiatives within the team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and technical growth.
- Provide after-hours technical support as part of an on-call rotation.
- Ensure accurate, high-quality technical support for internal and external clients.
- Produce and review coiled tubing programs, simulations and designs, ensuring they meet project needs and industry standards.
- Conduct and document technical investigations and analyses on project-specific or systemic technical issues, preparing detailed reports for management and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate daily engineering support and respond promptly to technical challenges.
- Maintain strong client communication, ensuring adequate technical support and addressing inquiries.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance STEP’s technical reputation and present new products to clients.
- Collect and incorporate input from related departments to improve coiled tubing division operations.
- Lead training initiatives for both engineering and operational professionals, promoting continuous technical growth.
- Stay updated on industry trends and contribute insights to R&D and technology validation efforts.
- Conduct field and service center visits as required
- Assist/perform specific tasks assigned by management and executive team members. Direct reporting with the Engineering Manager informed at certain stages.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 7+ years of related oil & gas service industry experience
- Engineering degree and/or technical diploma or equivalent experience
- Preference given to those registered as a professional member with APEGA or ASET
- Strong background in Oil and Gas, specifically Coiled Tubing products and procedures
- Experience working on complex technical issues with cross-functional teams and clients in a remote setting.
- Leadership experience is an asset.
