We are a growing environmental technology innovator, building solutions for hard-to-treat water contaminants, GHG emissions, and odours to support sustainable industry. Using advanced materials and new process designs, H2nanO aims to improve the cost and efficacy of water treatment and emissions reduction in mining, energy, agriculture, and other industries, including solutions such as treating water in Canada’s oil sands.

Each day, H2nanO’s team works to improve the safety and quality of our world’s most valuable resource. Join us and contribute to building the future of Canadian environmental technology.

**About The Job**:
**Location**: Edmonton, AB & Client Locations

You will work with a talented team of engineers, scientists, and technicians at H2nanO and our partners to implement treatment systems, execute on-site and field operations, and support joint client operations. Your work will include travel to field operating sites, including the potential for extended deployments on major projects in Canada’s oil sands. Your work will also help us grow and manage our site operations, calling upon strong capabilities for management of key activities and project team direction.

This is a chance to make your mark on the future of water treatment and clean energy

**Process Technician Roles**:

- Contribute to the design, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of H2nanO’s industrial wastewater solar treatment systems.
- Manage day-to-day on-site activities for treatment processes. Prepare and maintain data reports, sample chain of custody, and contribute to reports to clients.
- Conduct on-site visits for treatment assessment and system audits and liaise with external parties such as suppliers and subcontractors.
- Build and maintain H2nanO’s relationship with client field personnel. Assist in management of the different stakeholder relationships between H2nanO, clients, and other third parties.
- Assist with creation of standard operating procedures and safe work protocols. Participate in project safety hazard assessments and reviews.
- Conduct process optimization and data generating tests. Develop improved and new treatment strategies.
- Contribute to process designs, system specifications, and engineering equipment sizing. Assist with procurement and maintenance of equipment.

**Job Requirements**:

- Prioritization of safe work practice and contribution to a high-quality, high-integrity work culture.
- Readiness for extended travel to operating sites domestic and international, including projects located in Wood Buffalo, AB.
- Working in outdoor and marine environments in variable weather conditions and seasons.

**About You**:
You want to work for a scaling company, ready to make outsized changes in the environmental industry. You are enthusiastic about green technology and want to contribute to creating sustainable industry solutions for Canada and the world. You are excited by the prospect of introducing a new technology to industry and creating innovative solutions to both new and old problems.

You enjoy working outside an office environment in field and industrial settings. You have a bright and creative technical mind, but are grounded by solid organizational, communication, and project execution skills. You have strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to build relationships with customers and partners.

**Preferred Experience and Skills**:
College Diploma or Certificate in Applied Science, Chemical Engineering & Technology, Petroleum Engineering & Technology, Water and Environmental Systems or equivalents.

Practical experience working in oil sands surface mining, other upstream oil and gas operations, or similar mining and heavy industry.
- Technical expertise and hands-on experience with chemical systems, process pumping and fluids handling equipment, and/or environmental project operations.
- Capability and confidence in completing hands-on work in fabrication and industrial system operation, including operation of process machinery and controls.
- Proven ability to manage relationships, project scope, and execution in a dynamic industry setting.
