We are seeking an Entry-Level Drafting Technician to join our Graphics team Under the direction of a supervisor, you will be responsible for the preparation of drawings related to various drafting functions. This could include such drafting disciplines as Mechanical Piping, Civil Mapping, Electronics, Instrumentation, Architectural, Structural, and Presentation Graphics. The Entry-Level Drafting Technician will learn under the guidance and direction of the Drafting Technician, Senior Drafting Technician, and/or Supervisor as applicable.

**What You Get to Do**:

- Prepare standard 2D and 3D drawings or projects. This includes the preparation of material and equipment specifications. As required, may prepare more complex or non-standard drawings under the guidance of the Senior Drafting Technician.
- Provide support to various design stakeholders as requested and ensure compliance with both internal and external standards and regulations.
- Prepare specialized drafting products as required by various groups.
- Prepare and submit plans as required to external parties.
- Research company records to interpret system information.
- Process CAD system and as-built information and maintain above-ground system records.
- Manage and maintain system files and data to the required standards.
- Respond to inquiries and provide information as required.
- Complete work within designated schedules and provides timely feedback when timeframes cannot be met.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology, or equivalent related drafting courses and experience, from a recognized technical institute.
- May be required to attain registration with A.S.E.T.
- Knowledge of industry standards and procedures.
- Knowledge of Bentley OpenPlant would be an asset.
- Ability to read and understand as-built records.
- Familiarity with the project process and the ability to effectively manage information from various sources.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills along with the ability to express thoughts clearly both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently under tight time constraints with little or no direct supervision.
