Reporting to the Manager, Billing & Collections, the incumbent will be responsible for assisting the Firm’s Finance team to make a significant contribution to the management and maintenance of internal financial data.

**A Day In The Life**

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Process requests for changes to the financial information of the Firm’s clients
- Be the Subject Matter Expert for Timekeeper setup and rates
- Ensure Timekeeper FTE compliance with a data governance focus
- Assist with third party cost uploads as they relate to billing
- Assist the Billing Supervisor with proforma runs, monitoring WIP, and billing to reach month end targets
- Assist with training of accounting and billing software
- Provide backup and overflow support for E-Billing
- Perform data cleanup and ensure financial information is updated in the Firm’s systems
- Establish best practice processes for data management
- Act as a point of contact between the legal assistants, the Compliance team and the Finance team
- Perform all other related tasks from the different departments within Finance
- Process requests for the creation of personal files for members of the Firm
- Establish best practice processes for data management
- Be the main contact person for knowledge management in relation to the Firm’s back-end systems

**Must Haves**
- Previous Accounting or Billing experience in a professional services environment an asset
- General knowledge of accounting, professional services billing process, and e-billing and task-code billing functions would be an asset
- Proficiency with computer software programs including MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Familiarity with Power BI and legal billing software an asset
- The ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks
- Highly organized and great attention to detail
- Works collaboratively as well as autonomously
