Established in 1991, The Guild of Automotive Restorers is a world-renowned restoration facility, specializing in the repair, restoration, modification and sales of antique, classic and custom vehicles. We are the home of the world broadcast television series Restoration Garage, 9 seasons, not bad for a Canadian company. The Guild’s creations have been featured on Leno’s Garage and various other TV shows, on radio and in print. We are a busy award-winning restoration shop. We recently moved to a new facility in Innisfil, Ontario, close to Barrie, Ontario.
**Overview**:
We are looking for a qualified Accounting Administrator. We offer a positive, clean and friendly work environment. We are looking for a dynamic Full-Time Accounting Administrator with bookkeeping experience to join us as part of our front-office customer service and retail team.
The focus of the role will be accounts payable, ensuring that PO’s are entered and billed to clients jobs, reconciling accounts monthly, maintaining the accounting records and assisting in timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance.
**Roles & Responsibilities**:
**Accounts Payable and General Accounting**:
- Enter all accounts payable invoices into the accounting system.
- Ensure that PO’s are entered and billed to clients jobs.
- Enter supplies onto Client invoices
- Monthly reconciliation and pay accounts on time, including accounts payable, Petty Cash Visa, EHT, HST, WSIB, Payroll Source Deductions
- Monthly reconciliation of bank statements monthly
- Post and maintain the accounting records
- Assist upper management with any accounting activities.
- Assist with the preparation of weekly payroll.
- Assist with year-end reporting and activities.
- Work closely with our purchasing department to ensure daily transactions have been received and entered correctly.
**Accounts Payable and General Accounting Continued**:
- Daily petty cash management
- Recording of various journal entries
- Assist with a month-end checklist/reporting
- Excellent customer service and communication skills required
- Answering phones occasionally
- Data entry skills with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Proficiency in Office365 and Word
- Moderate to advanced knowledge of Excel
- Ability to follow direction with mínimal supervision
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality
- Analyzing information and trouble-shooting skills
- Payroll processing experience preferred
- Excellent time management and organizational skills are essential
- Adherence to all corporate accounting policies
- Perform accounting and clerical functions to support management and office team.
- Other duties as assigned
**Education, Experience, and Qualifications**:
- Completion of secondary school is required
- Completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field is an asset
- Previous administrative and customer service experience is required
- Previous bookkeeping experience is preferred
- Knowledge of AutoXperts, Sage Contractor, Quickbooks are assets
- Year End preparation experience is an asset
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Flexibility and willingness to work simultaneously on a wide range of tasks and projects
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Superior customer service skills
- Proven ability to work independently while being a team player
Pay: $40,000.00-$52,000.00 per year
