The Catering Sales Manager is reporting to the Food & Beverage Operations Manager

**The Catering Sales Manager will be responsible for**:

- Solicit, capture, plan and coordinate meetings and catering functions, while maximizing the banquet space to meet and exceed overall catering revenue goals.
- Point of contact and liaison for clients: detail and coordinate all aspects of meeting or function from room set up, food & beverage offerings, audio visual services, etc.
- Complete contracts and review with clients; prepare and revise banquet event orders and coordinate with the appropriate areas within the hotel. Prepare invoices and approve final billing to be sent to clients.
- Ensure distribution of banquet event orders in a timely basis with accurate and complete information. Receive and communicate changes and makes any necessary adjustments.
- Create and maintain strong client relations for a successful event experience for all clients and attendees.
- Communicate all complete and accurate changes with Accounting, Culinary and Food & Beverage, and Audio Visual departments prior to and during events.
- Handle inquiry calls and prospect outside sales calls.
- Maintain current information on and monitor booking trends to produce forecast figures and month-end reports.
- Assist in the annual catering budget process. Participate in a monthly forecast and all reporting as needed.
- Maintain awareness of competitive market set.
- Interact with outside planners and vendors for special events.
- Attend trade and wedding shows to grow business and awareness of the hotel and its venues.
- Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
- May work some evenings and weekends as needed.
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in Conference Services and/or Banquets.
- Post-secondary education such as a Degree or Diploma in Hospitality or Tourism Management relating to Event Planning is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability in taking on numerous responsibilities while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to take initiative and find creative ways to respond to client requests.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, team player with the ability to maintain enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
- Professional and positive communication to both guests and fellow employees.
- Fluent (written & verbal) in English.
- Demonstrated knowledge of MS office and other management software.
- Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $63,000.00-$70,000.00 per year

**Experience**:
