**Job Overview**:
As an Assistant Building Manager, you will work in tandem with the Building Manager to ensure full coverage at the building in

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform daily inspections of the property (interior/exterior), and complete minor maintenance such as power washing and building repairs
- Schedule, meet, and oversee trades and other contractors in the building, ensuring projects are completed in a proper and timely manner
- Conduct administrative and clerical functions such as managing social room bookings; maintaining records, directories and manuals; distributing and controlling entry fobs; collecting/recording parking and other fees, post notices and enforce Strata bylaws and rules
- Report building issues and incidents in writing to Strata Property Manager and Strata Council
- Respond to residents' queries & requests promptly and professionally and schedule resident move-ins/outs
- Perform monthly security inspections & procedures (generators, fire alarm, others) as required
- Work closely with and assist the Strata Property Manager, the on-site cleaning and front desk team, and Strata Council to ensure a smooth building operation

**Shifts Available**:
Friday to Monday (18 hours per week)
- 9am - 3pm

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- At least one year of Building Manager experience in residential strata or commercial setting is required
- Excellent written and oral command of the **English **language is necessary in order to be able to work efficiently and communicate appropriately with our clients and our support staff.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, verbally and in writing with residents, clients and support staff
- Experience with maintaining building and mechanical systems, and basic handyperson skills are strong assets

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to patrol the property including stairs, hallways, interior, and exterior
- Ability to work in different environmental working conditions (wind, heat, cold, rain, etc.)
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to use standard building equipment (vacuum, climb a ladder, mob, handyperson tools for minor maintenance, power washer, leaf blower, etc.)
