As a Caretaker, you will be part of a high-performing team in property management with FirstService Residential.

Job Overview:

You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all common areas in the residential building and providing customer service to residents when needed. To succeed in this role, you should have a keen attention to detail, a high work ethic, good customer service skills, and the ability to navigate computer programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service and rule enforcement
  • Vacuum and clean halls & amenity rooms, clean guest suite, maintain cleanliness of lobby, clean elevators and windows.
  • Maintain log of any resident complaints or violations, view security monitors periodically, and act as on-site point of contact for emergency situations.
  • Scheduling move-ins and outs in accordance with established procedures.
  • Ensure storage rooms, mechanical rooms, parkades, bicycle rooms, hallways, stairways, and all other common areas are kept free of inappropriate items.
  • Inspect all common areas daily, take required action, and maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain cordial, professional, and businesslike relations with owners and tenants by being consistently polite, helpful, and respectful in all dealings with owners and residents.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least one year of industrial/commercial/hotel cleaning experience is required.
  • A strong written and oral command of the English language is necessary to work efficiently and communicate appropriately with clients and support staff.
  • Solid computer skills, including the ability to schedule bookings online and provide professional communication.
  • Good customer service skills, with a positive attitude and energy.
  • A strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to clean and monitor the property, including stairs, hallways, parkade, interior, and exterior of the building; lots of walking.
  • Ability to conduct 4 hours of continuous cleaning-related duties and lift up to 30lb.
  • Ability to work in different environmental working conditions (wind, heat, cold, rain, etc.).

Compensation:

$20 - $22 per hour.
