**Job Description - Business Systems Analyst**

To support our growing business, Horizant is looking for an experienced Business Systems Analyst to add to our BA team. The Business Systems Analyst is a client-facing role; the BA works within a project team that is led by a Horizant Project Manager. The BA is primarily responsible for organizing and facilitating client meetings, demoing the Archibus software, gathering and prioritizing the client’s requirements for change, developing functional requirements, developing QA test cases, and training customers on the software upon implementation. The BA takes on a key role in the project design and implementation and, together with the PM, manages the scope of the project. The PM and the BA have a joint responsibility to keep the project within its financial and functional scope boundaries.

**Business Analyst - Responsibilities**
- Develop the Scope Statement, Business Requirements, Functional Specifications Document and Test Criteria for Horizant Projects under leadership of Horizant PMs.
- Together with the project PM, control the project scope to ensure the project stays within budget.
- As budget allows, lead a consultative approach with clients on industry and Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS) best practices, giving demos of the Archibus software and discussing the client’s to-be work-flows
- Gather user requirements and write easy-to-execute functional requirements and to-be state process diagrams
- Collaborate with project managers and technical leads to drive the implementation of projects
- Coordinate directly with Archibus software manufacturer for technical support and to understand new feature roadmap
- Give clients software demonstrations to validate functional requirements
- Develop the training plan and train the client’s core team as prescribed in the project plan
- Develop Test Cases and Test Criteria and lead the client’s testing activities
- Work within the BA group to develop and implement process improvements
- Learn the ARCHIBUS software modules as assigned in a quick and efficient manner
- Maintain records of all work-related activities within Horizant’s time sheet software daily
- Estimate work efforts for tasks using Horizant’s PM software
- Work with accounting and PMs for proper invoicing
- Carry out tasks as assigned by VP Operations
- Develop good relationships with colleagues and Horizant management
- Maintain professional behaviour with clients at all times

**Requirements - Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities**
- Ability to set up, organize, facilitate and document client meetings
- Able to write Requirements, Functional System Design documents and Test Cases
- Good organizational skills
- Excellent English writing skills
- Knowledge of the BA methodology
- Professional and confident
- Ability to benchmark and analyze business processes throughput
- Ability to establish and govern business process toward excellent performance
- Knowledge of MS Office products (Excel, Word, Visio)
- Knowledge of relational databases
- Able to travel as needed

- English/French Bilingual
- Knowledge of lean concepts
- Knowledge of Archibus software functionality
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL
