**The Role**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Leads Networking projects to support MDA IT initiatives
- Proactively suggests, tests, and executes enhancements to existing networking and security configuration, technologies and procedures
- Analyzes and monitors network performance to anticipate growth
- Implements, documents and support new IT networking and security technologies
- Provides networking support to MDA Projects
- Performs analysis, diagnosis, administration, monitoring, patching and support of complex LAN and WAN architectures
- Operational day-to-day support of networking and security environments

**Job Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor degree in information technology related field of study with a network engineering focus
- At least 5 years of proven experience as an Intermediate Network Engineer/Analyst with experience in designing, configuring, and maintaining Enterprise LAN and WAN, Firewalls, Wireless, Secure Web Gateways
- Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation and technical skills
- Extensive knowledge of network connectivity, technologies, protocols, and security.
- Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions
- Ability to implement, support, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access, firewall, routers, switches
- Ability to create high-level and low-level network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt new networking and security technologies
- Ability to prioritize tasks with mínimal supervision
- Strong work ethic, highly motivated, positive thinker, and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in teams
- Travel to other MDA offices will be required
- Flexible to work after business hours to address operational support tasks

**Job Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with WAN, LAN, Firewalls, SDN, SD-WAN, Secure Web Gateways, Network Access Control
- Experience with Network Monitoring Solutions
- Experience in configuring and managing Public Cloud-Based Networks
- Experience in managing Cisco-Based LAN and WAN solutions
- Experience in managing HPE/Aruba Wireless and Security solutions
- Experience in managing SASE solutions such as Zscaler
- Experience in networking automation tools
- Certifications such as CCNP, GIAC or equivalent is preferred
