**Port Moody Liquor Store Assistant Manager**

The Port Moody Liquor Store is vibrant busy liquor store located centrally in beautiful Port Moody (2-minute walk from the sky train station). This position entails working closely with the Store Manger, District Manager, and Director of Operations to assist with day-to-day management of the store which includes:

- Opening and closing operational routines, ensuring a successful start or completion of the liquor store’s daily tasks.
- Working daily on the backend of the Point-of-Sale system to ensure products and sales are entered and priced accurately.
- Welcoming customers and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience
- Assist team member with unloading of orders - checking pallet manifests
- Hiring and training new team members
- Overseeing all employees when on shift
- Making weekly schedules for all team members
- Upholding store brand standards

- Ability to motivate team members
- Portray confidence and be able to offer support to your team
- Passion for customer service - the ability to treat customers the way you would like to be treated
- Self motived to complete tasks
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changes as they arise
- Effective time management and prioritizing of tasks
- Ability to lift 30lbs repetitively

The Port Moody Liquor Store offers dynamic and fun retail environment with the opportunity of advancement within the company. We also offer the opportunity to attend industry product sampling events throughout the year. We instill a culture of working hard but then taking to the time for fun team building events such as hockey games, concerts, and wine tastings.

Start Date: As soon as possible

Additional:

- Open Availability Required
- Available on weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Schedule:

- 40 - 50 hours per week with a regular set schedule.

**Experience**:
Retail or Hospitality Management experience a definite asset
