**HOURS**: 9 am - 5 pm (Flexible I Remote I Hybrid)
**OVERTIME STATUS**: When required
**FUNCTIONAL SUMMARY**:
The Customs Client Services Representative is a highly motivated and detailed oriented incumbent reporting to Director of Customs. As a key member of our Customs Department, he/she will play crucial role in ensuring seamless and efficient customs clearance processes for our clients, with a specific focus on the Asian market. This role may require occasional travel to China to strengthen client relationships and navigate regional customs processes.
**MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Facilitates smooth customs clearance processes for import and export shipments, with a particular emphasis on the Asian market, including travel to China as needed.
- Acts as a liaison between clients and customs authorities in the Asian region, addressing issues or discrepancies effectively.
- Provides exceptional customer service, promptly addressing client inquiries and concerns with a focus on the Chinese market.
- Collaborates with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely documentation for customs clearance in the Asian market.
- Stays updated on customs regulations and policies in the Asian region, especially in China, ensuring compliance and providing guidance to clients.
- Maintains accurate records of shipments, customs documentation, and client communications.
- Possesses knowledge of E-Commerce goods, CLVS (Customs Low-Value Shipment), and LVS (Low-Value Shipment) processes.
- Identifies and pursues sales opportunities within the client base.
- Collaborates with the sales team to generate new business to meet and / or exceed sales targets
- Performs other related duties

**EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**:
- Certified Customs Specialist, Customs Professional Status preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in import/export logistics, customs clearance, freight forwarding, or a related field, with a focus on the Asia market.
- Fluent in Mandarin is essential
- Strong understanding of customs regulations and procedures, particularly in Asian countries, including China.
- Knowledge of E-Commerce goods, CLVS, and LVS processes.
- Experience in sales management or account management is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software is preferred.
