**About The Collection Analyst**

**What you will do in the role**:

- Complete cheque deposits on a bi-weekly basis, at office using the cheque scanner.
- Investigate payment discrepancies and respond to customer inquiries.
- Manage the recording and collection of direct delivery accounts receivable to ensure timeliness
- Perform account reconciliations to identify unpaid amounts on customer accounts
- Maintain a sound credit policy which keeps credit losses and slow collection of receivables at a minimum, ensuring maximization of sales revenue
- Clear unapplied cash to customer accounts ensuring up to date payment information
- Derive timely resolution of disputes through discussions and order freezing
- Accurate tracking of customer responses and payment agreements into database
- Assess risks against potential sales through credit assessment and rating tools
- Determine risks and opportunities for A/R collection
- Setup and maintain customer accounts.
- Using Excel and Syspro, sends monthly customer statements electronically.
- Prepare and issue invoices, pre-bills to customers. Manages deposit billings and reconciles each project on a monthly basis, prior to month-end close.
- Review A/R aging listings and provide analysis to senior management.
- Establish effective and cooperative working relationships with internal departments
- Other duties as assigned.
- Able to lift up to 15lbs; may work in hot areas 5%, noise 0%.
- Ensure adherence to Health and Safety as well as active participation in 5S activities in work area.

**What you bring to the role**:

- College Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration
- 2 years of experience in an accounts receivable or collection role is an asset
- Willingness to go the extra mile for customers and employees.
- High attention to detail required
- Strong and positive communicator (customer service skills a plus)
- Able to deal with customers sensitively and professionally at all times
- Excellent computer skills, intermediate MS office skills with some technical aptitude
- Highly organized and able to prioritize work.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong computer skills including Excel skills a must (pivot tables, v-lookup, dataset management) (Syspro a plus)
- Ability to quickly learn systems and processes
- Ability to work independently
- A clear background check for criminal and/or credit is required

**This position works out of our Mississauga, Ontario location. Hours are typically 8:30am to 5:00pm.**
