Credit & Collections Strategy Analyst

About the Role:
The Credit & Collections Strategy Analyst is a key position within Just Energy's Credit & Collections team, working closely with senior leaders to evaluate strategic options and their feasibility. This role involves monitoring key performance metrics to identify performance deviations and partnering with stakeholders to course correct.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate credit and collections strategy viability and feasibility by gathering relevant data points, connecting the dots, running what-if analyses, and presenting outcomes of options.
- Actively monitor operational performance metrics, highlighting performance wins and drops.
- Own the setup of new processes required to support credit & collections strategy decisions, maintaining a list of actionable items and holding operational teams accountable for status updates.
- Assist the core operational team with daily credit and collections operational tasks to ensure no critical tasks fall through the cracks.
- Support the leadership team on ad hoc projects, including listening to collections calls to identify collections improvement opportunities, running tests to confirm system functionality, and partnering with legal and regulatory teams in the design of collection letters.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a business or analytical field of study (e.g., Business, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Management Information Systems).
- 1-2 years' experience in roles such as Associate Business Analyst, Business Analyst, Operations Analyst, or Project Coordinator within an operational and fast-paced business setting.
- Intermediate MS Excel skill set is a must-have, with SQL skill preferred but not required.
- Ability to collaborate with senior leadership and resources from other departments with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to move priorities and juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate and navigate through multiple operational leadership teams.
