Indigo Park is seeking a full time temporary Parking Enforcement - Tow Operator for a 1 month term. This position is responsible for day to day enforcement and maintenance operations.

**What Would You Be Doing?**
- Patrol an assigned area by vehicle or on foot to ensure public compliance with existing parking ordinance;
- Maintain close communications with dispatching personnel, using two-way radios or cell phones;
- Write warnings and citations for illegally parked vehicles;
- Respond to and make radio dispatch calls regarding parking violations and complaints;
- Train new or temporary staff;
- Identify vehicles in violation of parking codes, checking with dispatchers when necessary to confirm identities or to determine whether vehicles need to be towed;
- Perform simple vehicle maintenance procedures such as checking oil and gas and report mechanical problems to supervisors;
- Observe and report hazardous conditions such as environmental conditions, missing traffic signals or signs, and street markings that need to be repainted;
- Enter and retrieve information pertaining to vehicle registration, identification, and status, using hand-held computers;
- Investigate and answer complaints regarding contested parking citations, determining their validity and routing them appropriately;
- Prepare and maintain required records, including logs of parking enforcement activities, and records of contested citations;
- Maintain assigned equipment and supplies such as hand-held citation computer;
- Perform light maintenance duties on parking equipment, or in the parking facilities as required (ie: gate arms, lights, wheel stops, equipment calibration, etc.)

**What Are We Looking For?**
- You have a mechanical aptitude
- You have previous experience operating a tow truck or other heavy equipment
- You are computer savvy
- You are good at problem solving
- You can work with mínimal supervision
- You have a valid license and clean drivers abstract
- You have a good command of the English language
- Must be able to work Monday - Friday from 10pm to 6:30am.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract

**Salary**: $21.00 per hour

- Tow Truck operation: 1 year (preferred)

- class 5 Alberta drivers license (required)
