**Job description**

**General Description**: McKenzie Lake Residents Association (MLRA) is a private, non-profit organization, which provides a wide array of recreation services and amenities to its members. MLRA employs individuals who help provide a safe, well maintain facility for all members and guests to enjoy.

**Reports to**: Operations Manager and General Manager

**Hours of Work**: Full time position to start May 1st. Must be available to work any day of the week, approximately 40 hours per week. Shifts may include morning, afternoon, or evening hours.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To carry out those tasks and duties as assigned to you by the Operations Manager or General Manager.
- Landscaping/horticultural duties - maintaining park shrub beds, flower beds, flower containers, mowing, trimming, tree well maintenance etc.
- Patrolling park grounds and the lake - looking for security and safety issues, rule violations etc.
- Enforcing MLRA rules and regulations.
- Open and closing the park in accordance to MLRA policies and regulations.
- Cleaning park buildings and facility booking areas.
- Raking and cleaning the beach area.
- Raking and cleaning playground areas, tennis and beach volleyball courts.
- To ensure that the operation and maintenance programs for equipment you are using are followed.
- Litter control and changing garbage's.
- Communicate effectively and courteously with the public and staff members.

**Winter Duties**
- Snow removal
- Set up and maintain the parks skating areas and hockey rinks
- Ice checks
- Assist in setting up and taking down Christmas light display
- General maintenance and upkeep of facilities

**Position Specifications and Qualifications**
- 2-3 Years experience landscaping, equipment, and building Maintenance.
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
- Time management skills
- Valid First-Aid/CPR certificate _(training provided by the Association)_
- Positive attitude with good interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safety
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to carry out verbal and written instructions
- Ability to work well with others and independently
- Punctual and reliable
- Competent with attention to detail

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 18-32 per week

**Salary**: $17.00-$22.00 per hour
