The Faculty of Information at the University of Toronto is a research-led Faculty, educating the next generation of leaders in information scholarship and the information professions, both established and emerging. The Faculty currently offers two Master’s degree programs, namely, a Master of Museum Studies (MMSt),and a Master of Information (MI), as well as a Combined MI/MMSt Degree Program (CDP). The Faculty also offers a PhD program and in 2019 it introduced a Bachelor of Information (BI) program. MI Students can specialize in one or two concentrations including Archives and Records Management, Library and Information Sciences, Information Systems and Design, User Experience Design and Human-Centred Data Science.

**Your opportunity**:
**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Providing detailed information regarding admission requirements to prospective students and applicants
- Responding to routine admissions and awards enquiries and referring complex enquiries as appropriate
- Checking completeness of admissions documentation
- Preparing admission spreadsheets for decision-making
- Calculating student grades using Excel-based formulas
- Creating and updating student records

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree or acceptable combination of equivalent education and experience
- Minimum two years of experience providing detailed information on program and/or course eligibility requirements, procedures, policies and deadlines
- Basic understanding and knowledge of educational systems and international and domestic credential assessment
- Demonstrated experience with degree and program requirements on admissions in a post-secondary institution or division.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, with the demonstrated ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated time management skills and organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize, multi-task and organize work in an environment with frequent interruptions, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to review and process large amounts of data and information with mínimal errors
- Intermediate computer skills in MS Office (e.g. Word, Excel, and Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, ROSI/ACORN or an equivalent academic record system
- Basic experience or understanding of an applicant management system, such as SLATE or comparable system.
- Strong team player with an ability to take direction and initiative when needed
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of needs and challenges of diversestudent populations
- Demonstrated tact and professionalism to handle delicate situations; high degree of confidentiality; proven attention to detail and accuracy, familiarity with university’s resources for students
- Follow rules and procedural processes related to Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA)
