HCA Dance + Theatre (HCADT)'s mission is to enrich the artistic and cultural landscape of Hamilton with high-quality professional performing arts presentations and through artistic development. Our vision is to cultivate a professional artistic environment for future generations in Hamilton and beyond.

HCADT was founded in partnership with the Hamilton Conservatory for the Arts (HCA) in 2001 as an incorporated non-profit organization. Now a professionally-focused charitable arm of the HCA organization, through its four flagship events HCADT features a wide variety of professional dance, music, theatre, and visual artists. These include Dusk Dances, the Performing Arts Sunday Series (PASS), and Children’s Arts Exploration: Field Trip days.
- be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment

**HR Administrator Job Requirement**:

- Under guidance from the Artistic & Executive Director; creating, reviewing and revising workplace policies in accordance to the employment laws.
- Preparing and updating HR documents such as employment contracts, letter of agreement,and employee handbooks.
- Organizing and maintaining employee records, updating and entering new employee data.
- Providing administrative support and documentation of actions related to Human Resources such as creating reports, logs and records.
- Assisting the Artistic/Executive Director with other HRM activities, supporting the on-boarding activities, keeping up with current regulations and practices, updating HR policies.

**HR Administrator Qualifications**:

- A post-secondary degree or certificate in Human Resources or related field of study.
- Prior experience in recruitment and selection practices.
- Knowledge about employment legislation, such as Ontario Human Rights Code, ESA, OHSA, AODA etc
- Absolute confidentiality and discretion.
- A collaborative, and team-building spirit, who seeks and celebrates the contribution of others.
- Proficient communication skills; verbal and written; prior experience in writing policies or contracts.
- Acute attention to detail.
- Excellent at prioritization and time management; both independently and as part of a team.

Reporting to: Artists / Executive Director

Type of Employment: Summer Contract (8 weeks, with a possibility of 8 weeks of extension)

Hours: 30 hours a week - In-person work as required, and remote work available.

Hourly Wage: $20.00/hr

This position is based in Hamilton. Working on-site when required.
