**The Opportunity**
Reporting to the Director of Communications & Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating, and implementing our annual marketing and communications strategy. Your responsibilities will include crafting compelling content for various channels, managing social media campaigns, collaborating with stakeholders to develop impactful messaging, and supporting the organization's key events and initiatives. In this role, you will be an essential part of the smooth daily operation of our communications and marketing activities.
**Salary Range**: $60,000 - $68,000
**Responsibilities**
- Support the implementation of the annual communications strategy, project and program communications, and marketing plans by creating and editing content for web and print.
- Manage the social media calendar and develop engaging social media content (copy, graphics, etc.) for BioCanRx channels, including paid campaigns.
- Consult with scientific experts and team members to identify, develop, and validate all science and program related content for communications; liaising with stakeholders, as necessary (such as sharing updates, logos, etc.).
- Maintain and execute on digital and print content calendars.
- Prepare content, design, and publish the BioCanRx newsletter and e-blasts.
- Track and analyze social, newsletter, e-blast, and web data to prepare reports and improve metrics.
- Manage digital asset library (photos, video, social media graphics, etc.) and create photo, graphic, and video assets such as document layouts, infographics, presentations, and online ads.
- Contribute content for submissions and reports, such as the Annual Report.
- Assist with the successful organization of BioCanRx workshops and key events, including Summit4CI, through creating collateral and marketing materials.
- Contribute to the optimization of BioCanRx and Summit4CI websites (desktop and mobile): user interface, design, functionality, SEO etc.
- Maintain and build the BioCanRx brand as the trusted authority for immunotherapy in Canada, including monitoring brand sentiment and competitive landscape.
- Contribute to BioCanRx’s overall goals by working with the Director, Communications & Marketing and others in the organization to help identify new opportunities and target groups for promotion and partnerships.
- Provide additional communications support as needed.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a communications, marketing, or social media marketing role.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience planning and managing social media calendars and platforms.
- Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Proven ability to work on own and collaboratively with others.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Strong communications skills (written and verbal).
- Bilingual (English/French).
- Ability to travel as required.
