New Directions is a social service agency offering a wide range of resources and services that foster people’s hopes and dreams in their communities. MACC is one of the many services offered by New Directions.

The Clinical Coordinator manages a case load from a clinical perspective and provides information and training on disability, trauma, learning, attachment, child and adult development, and behaviour specific issues. Develops support plans including behavioural/treatment plans and crisis management for individuals and helps problem solve and modify programming as needed. Provides feedback on initial and annual Family and Person Centred Plans. Provides consultation and assistance to staff and works in cooperation with the Manager, Coordinators, Case Managers, and Home Supervisors.

**Duties Include**:
Provides consultation and guidance to staff regarding clinical approach, behaviour and emotional supports, and crisis and disability related information and protocols to best meet the needs of individuals and families we support given their age, diagnoses, history, current presentation, cultural background, and present circumstances;
Ensures individual goals are established in collaboration with family and other stakeholders and plans reflect and support these goals and family values;
Provides consultation to staff to guide programming and referrals to other appropriate New Directions and community services and programs;
Participates in clinical team meetings (psychiatry, specialists) as applicable;
Provides specific specialized training to staff to facilitate implementation of programming with appropriate clinical approach;
Conducts debriefing sessions with staff, families, and individuals as appropriate;
Develops and coordinates treatment plans with home staff, families, and other professionals and service providers (i.e., schools, psychologists, psychiatrists, physicians, social workers, therapists, probation officers, etc.);
Facilitates and manages crisis response

Provides individualized therapy services

Assists the Director in the provision of guidance and support to practicum students;
Maintains ’ clinical records, including files, support plans, stat information

**Qualifications Include**:
Masters in Social Work (MSW) or Registered Social Worker (RSW). Experience working with children who live with disabilities and families who support them. Experience working with individuals across the life span is an asset. Knowledge of child development, Autism Spectrum Disorder, cognitive and physical disabilities, and supporting those with high emotional and mental health needs is required. Experience with conducting psychological assessments in considered an asset
