**Job Duties**:

- Work on QuickBooks Desktop
- Maintain finance database records; support invoice preparation for income; prepare financial statements and reports including the profit and loss statement and balance sheet; receipts; reconcile bank account; prepare payroll; approve petty cash system and cash boxes for events (as needed); collect funds and make bank deposits; assist staff in balancing their reimbursement forms; keep the supervisor informed as to the balances of internal accounts.
- Support invoice activities and pay vendors for materials/services. Ensure that invoices are correct; review invoices/reimbursements; make entries and create cheques for vendors. Maintain a database within Quickbooks of vendors, customers, and other contacts.
- Assist with other legal matters including donation tax receipts, tax filing (payroll and HST), and annual filing with Industry Canada (Annual Summary). Assist in providing documentation for the financial statements with the appointed auditor and make all necessary preparation and adjustments.
- Engage and communicate with clients.

**Requirements**:

- Must be located in the Ottawa area
- Available during weekdays and able to work in-office
- Bilingual
- Bookkeeping Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Detailed-oriented
- Team player

**Experience**:

- QuickBooks Desktop (Minimum 1 year preferred)
- Bookkeeping (Minimum 1 year preferred)
- Work within the nonprofit sector

**Fonctions de l’emploi**:

- Travailler sur QuickBooks Desktop
- Tenir des registres de la base de données des finances; soutenir la préparation des factures pour le revenu; préparer des états financiers et des rapports, y compris le compte de profits et pertes et le bilan; reçus de transactions; rapprocher les comptes bancaires; préparer la paie; approuver le système de petite caisse et les caisses pour les événements (au besoin); recueillir des fonds et effectuer des dépôts bancaires; aider les fonctionnaires à équilibrer leurs formulaires de remboursement; tenir le superviseur au courant des soldes des comptes internes.
- Soutenir les activités de facturation et payer les fournisseurs pour le matériel / services. S’assurer que les factures sont correctes; examiner les factures et les remboursements; faire des entrées et faire les chèques pour les fournisseurs. Gérez une base de données dans Quickbooks des fournisseurs, des clients et d’autres contacts.
