Edmonton, Canada Alberta Counsel - Legal and Lobby Professionals Full time

**Summary**

Alberta Counsel is seeking a researcher/writerto join our growing team. Responsibilities will include providing research, writing, and client management support to our funding and government relations teams This position will report to the VP of Corporate Development & Government Relations.
- Research grant opportunities from government and non-government agencies
- Review stakeholder strategic documents to study and understand objectives, programs, and/or financial needs
- Research and collect data and study findings to support proposals
- Participate in and act as a liaison for team projects
- Maintain detailed records and complete reports as required
- Organize and facilitate meetings as required
- Assisting with research on lobby files as required

**Education**

Bachelor’s degree an asset but not required.

**Required Skills**:

- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent research skills and understanding of qualitative and quantitative data
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to think creatively, follow through on projects, and anticipate project needs
- Ability to develop work plans, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ideal applicants will be able to function independently as well as part of a team, be a self-starter, have a professional demeanor, and be an active supporter and participant in a collegial and productive work environment.
- Previous grant writing experience an asset
- Understanding of the provincial political environment in Alberta an asset

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
