Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centred clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

**Position Overview**:
Oversight of the day-to day operations of the DSRTF Out of province (OOP) unit to ensure excellence in the facilitation and coordination for patients to travel outside of Manitoba for surgical and diagnostic processes. Sets goals and objectives for OOP unit and participates in strategic planning for the expansion of OOP services. Responsible for leadership, performance evaluation of personnel and administration of collective agreement. Monitors financial documents and reports variances. Purchases non-capital supply and monitors inventory.

**Experience**:

- 5 or more years’ relevant experience as registered nurse and healthcare administrator.
- Minimum of two (2) years in leadership management in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Critical thinking skills/abilities.
- Sound knowledge of MS Office tools and PART.
- Experience with Accuro is an asset.

**Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)**:

- Undergraduate in Nursing or other related healthcare discipline required.
- Graduate degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or other related healthcare discipline.
- Current Manitoba registration with CRNM or affiliate in good standing required.

**Certification/Licensure/Registration**:

- Graduate of approved Registered Nursing program.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Must be able to function independently and communicate effectively with all levels of staff, government, media and the public.
- Identified excellence in the delivery of care and services to patients.
- Demonstrated leadership in promotion of quality practice environments that supports professional practice.
- Demonstrated leadership when establishing “best practices” in patient services.
- Demonstrated leadership when attending to cultural and ethnic diversity of patients and their significant others, as well as patient care providers within the system.
- Demonstrated leadership when fostering a non-discriminatory climate in which care is delivered in a manner sensitive to sociocultural diversity.
- Demonstrated independent and collaborative decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated leadership when promoting interdisciplinary and collaborative environments.
- Demonstrated leadership when collaborating with healthcare stakeholders in order to build relationships with SDO’s, OOP Partners and other sections within the DSRTF.
- Demonstrated leadership in determining the acquisition, allocation and utilization of Government fiscal and human resources.
- Demonstrates leadership and manages factors related to safety, outcomes, effectiveness, cost and social impact when developing and implementing practice innovations.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to cope with unexpected interruptions in order to meet challenging deadlines.
- Good physical and mental health required.
