**CONTRIBUTING TO THE CMPA**

The Corporate Services team manages the Association’s physical assets and provides procurement, supply chain management, leasing, contract management, archiving, meeting room management, space planning and accommodations, ergonomics, and information intake support. The department is also responsible for risk management including fire and life safety, business continuity, insurance, and physical security.

**POSITION OVERVIEW**

The incumbent will support the Corporate Services Department with project coordination, asset management, along with the development and delivery of numerous departmental deliverables. The student will work closely with members of the Corporate Services team - including the Lead, Facilities and the Lead, Corporate Services. The student can expect to gain experience with project coordination, use of scanning software and following quality control protocols, and learning to use our document management system.

**POSITION ACTIVITIES**
- Updates floor plans (9 floors) with the location of detailed items (speakers, lighting grid, exit signs, etc.)
- Completes a review and clean up of contract agreements, including identifying the retention status of documents
- Completes scanning projects for multiple departments across the Association ensuring files are saved accurately in the document management system
- Supports the clean up of a storage room (disposal of old periodicals and files)

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- Enrolled in an academic program with a focus in Office Administration, Business Administration, or an equivalent field of study
- Experience working in a professional organization considered an asset

**SKILLS AND ABILITIES**
- Strong organizational skills with attention to quality, detail, and accuracy
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills
- Sound judgement and the ability to prioritize own work
- Strong collaborative skills in a teamwork setting
- Values and understands the importance of handling confidential documents
- Strong keyboarding skills (alpha-numeric) with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to frequently move between the buildings and floors to conduct work
- Ability to frequently lift objects weighing up to 20 lbs. working in the storage room

**POSTING DETAILS**
- Job Type: Temporary Full-Time position from January to April 2025
- Salary Range: $18.75-$25.50/hour
- Location**:Fully On-Site.** You will work from the CMPA’s office located in Ottawa, Ontario near the beautiful Dow’s Lake.
