**Role**:
Reporting to the Divisional Manager, the Strategic and Integrated Services (SIS) Division Coordinator is responsible for the ongoing coordination of divisional correspondence, opportunity management and support for the daily operations of the Assistant Deputy Minister's office (ADMO) of the Strategic and Integrated Services (SIS) Division. The ADMO is a dynamic, results-orientated office that requires the Issues Coordinator to perform at an exceptional standard.

The SIS Division Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the ADM, Deputy Minister, and Minister receive timely and accurate briefings on current and emerging opportunities and that those are effectively communicated and contain input from all affected program areas. The incumbent will assist with the research, drafting, coordination and processing of Action Requests (ARs) and other requests. This position anticipates opportunities and identifies solutions related to those issues, requiring comprehensive knowledge.

**The main responsibilities for the SIS Division Coordinator are (but not limited to)**:

- Coordinates the preparation of briefings and background materials
- Provides support in coordinating division initiatives and projects including those that cross divisions
- Manages the development of briefings/Action Requests/Deputy Requests that identify opportunities and meet quality standards as well as aligns with the government’s and ministry’s policy or position, ensuring effective processes and timely results
- Consults with branch heads to coordinate and/or compile information required for complex divisional/ministry responses to matters that cross divisional lines and require divisional perspectives
- Shares information and resources proactively across areas to better leverage their capabilities to the unit and division
- Ensures appropriate records management practices within the ADMO.

**Qualifications**:
**Required**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Public Administration, Communications, Social Sciences or related field supplemented by 2 years of progressively responsible policy analysis/development as well as quality assurance

**Equivalency**: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of:

- 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
- 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.

**Desired**:

- Exceptional oral and written correspondence skills in order to communicate and train effectively with diverse audiences on complex issues
- Excellent proofreading and editorial skills
- Adaptability and the ability to work in an environment with changing priorities and short timelines
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills as well as the ability to take on multiple projects, priorities tasks/issues with varying scale and urgency, communicate information and produce quality results with short timelines
- High degree of proficiency in ARTS (Action Request Tracking System) and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), as well as various software including desktop publishing (Adobe) and SharePoint design
