If you are looking to join a dynamic and growing team, Fresh Direct Produce Group has a great opportunity for you We're looking for a tenacious and savvy Business Development Manager to join forces with our Sales Team. This role is ideal for that independent hunter to utilize their excellent communication and relationship-building abilities, solutions-driven attitude, and negotiation skills, to name a few.

**Your responsibilities include**:
SALES & MARKETING
- Continuously looking for new products and developing marketing plans to introduce new items to customers
- Analyzing sales figures, customers reactions and market trends to anticipate product needs

BUDGETING
- Establishing, tracking and successfully managing the sales budget for key accounts
- Developing and ensuring compliance with budgets for all merchandising processes, balancing customers' expectations anthe d company's objectives

NEGOTIATING
- Collaborating with buyers, suppliers, and distributors to negotiate prices, quantities and time-scales
- Negotiating pricing on existing and new product offerings for key accounts
- Collaborating with suppliers to build pipelines and maintaining a high standard of fill rate

**Your qualifications include**:

- Minimum 5 years strong sales and business development background with experience working with major retailers, and national and regional chains
- Experience identifying target audiences and devising campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
- Work experience in fresh produce merchandising with a distributor or chain store preferred
- Understanding Operations-efficiencies and volume minimum to stay cost-effective
- Marketing background, understanding the retailer and end consumer perspective
- Post-secondary degree in Business or Economics an asset
