CNIB invites you to build a career as unique as you We are currently searching for a **Coordinator, Advocacy & Community Outreach** Reporting to the Program Lead, Advocacy and Accessible Community Engagement and Program Lead, Mobile Hub, the Coordinator, Advocacy & Community Outreach will work to establish and manage advocacy volunteers, develop, and maintain community partnerships within the Ontario West region. The Coordinator, Advocacy & Community Outreach will also support the development of community-based programs and projects. These programs will support municipalities throughout Ontario West, people with sight loss and the CNIB foundation challenge the barriers of inequality and inaccessibility seen throughout communities.

**Your impact at CNIB**:

- Provide educational tools and resources to support community partners and allies.
- Attend virtual or in person community events pertaining to inclusion and diversity for learning and outreach purposes.
- Coordinate, plan, implement, and evaluate advocacy strategy related programs, projects, and initiatives.
- Create and distribute communications to community partners, advocacy Volunteers and staff across CNIB.
- Support the evaluation, development and perform best practices for assessing the Diversity Strategy.
- Supports on location set up of the Mobile Hub.
- Follow up and reach out to program participants to market program evaluation and to share program information.

**Requirements**:
**We want to hear from you if you have**:

- Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
- Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.

**Eligibility**:
**This position is funded through Canada Summer Jobs. To be eligible to participate in the Canada Summer Jobs initiative, individuals must**:

- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment,
- Be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or persons to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; and
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations.
