**Here’s the scoop - Summary**

The FP&A Analyst analyzes financial data and creates recommendations to facilitate corporate decision making. This position develops, validates, and maintains key financial reports for the FP&A team. The FP&A analyst assists with the annual budgets, financial forecasts and month end reporting.

The position reports to the Director FP&A and Treasury and is based out of Champion’s office in Edmonton, Alberta on a hybrid work schedule.

**What a typical day looks like**:

- Conduct in-depth financial analysis on sales trends, cost of goods, overhead costs, etc to help drive strategic decision making.
- Develop, validate and maintain financial reports for period close.
- Assist with the preparation of ad hoc reports, financial reviews and special projects as directed by the leadership team.
- Support report data validation to ensure accuracy of analytical reporting. Ensure system set up and data tagging is consistent to enable ongoing analysis
- Assist with Business Plan development by conducting relevant project research and analysis for purposes of strategy identification and implementation.
- Calculate key performance indicators, benchmarks and measures

**What are we looking for?**
- Bachelors degree in business, mathematics or related professional designation (CPA, CFA a plus)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience.
- Strong Excel spreadsheet skills.
- Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning a plus.
- CPG/Retail experience a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with other departments and key business partners.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to work successfully with diverse groups, including ability to accept and integrate constructive feedback.
- Strong organizational abilities, including planning, prioritizing, and execution skills, with ability to successfully manage and complete projects on time and within budget.
- Effective time-management skills with ability to plan and prioritize in order to meet deadlines and achieve objectives, both independently and within a team environment
- Good judgment and strong decision-making abilities.
