**Purpose**
Supporting the Regional VP of Operations, manage and execute all activities of the warehouse in support of the overall operation in the Vancouver Warehouse helps to promote an overall corporate image of excellence through a strong work ethic, leadership by example, able to adapt in times of change and the consistent delivery of excellent customer service throughout the warehouse operation.
**Specific Requirements**
**Operations**
- Protect all company assets in the warehouse including non stock merchandise
- Coordinate with retail team to manage non stock merchandise including supplies, furniture, and fixtures
- Schedule warehouse operational hours to accommodate business requirements
- Count and receive incoming merchandise; report shortages/overages to vendors in a timely manner, before required deadlines.
- Provide ongoing stock replenishment to the sales floor
- Be compliant of duty free warehouse processes with Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA)
- Ensure appropriate paperwork for merchandise returns to vendors, customs and finances
- Manage, reduce, and report on damaged, expired, and outdated products for the warehouse and assist retail operations
- Organize all damaged and outdated products for subsequent supplier credits and returns; coordinate with CBSA on product destruction
- Organize all preparatory work for quarterly press counts and annual inventory
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery as a distribution centre for Alberta operations in Calgary.
- Performs all other responsibilities as directed by the business or leadership team.
**People**
- Make sure that health and work security requirements are met by all workers
- Provide a safe and clean environment for warehouse personnel
- Recruit, motivate, and continually train warehouse personnel
- Review that all company processes and policies have been communicated and executed by the staff
- Supervise and delegate tasks to Stock Supervisors
- Carry out Supervisor performance evaluations and goal assessments and support supervisors for staff evaluations
- Meet weekly with Retail Operations and HR on overall business.
**Experience Required**
**Essential**:
- 2 4 years of previous warehouse experience; leadership qualities and demonstrated organizational skills; good time management skills and problem solving abilities; ability to multi task
- Desirable:Certificate in Warehouse Management or Inventory Management
