The customer service representative (CSR) will be responsible for answering phone calls, processing orders and various office duties. To perform this job successfully, the individual must be conscientious, co-operative, & communicative (read & write English), French (read & write) would be a great asset. Also, have a courteous & competent phone manner, be willing to work on own and with others, be able to multi-task, have basic Outlook/Excel software & keyboarding skills. Hours 7:30am - 4pm, Monday through Friday.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. The duties and tasks involved for this position may include, but are not limited to, any combination of the following:
Courteous phone manner & efficient order taking Promptly:
Answer phone calls
Investigate customer’s concerns or complaints
Follow-up on shipping & billing errors
Post data into computer software and spreadsheets
Bring packing slips to and from the warehouse for processing
Invoice customers for products shipped
Also:
Compile, sort and file documents, such as sales orders, invoices & shipping paperwork
Prepare and organize files as required
Prepare envelopes for mailing or couriering and pick up & drop off mail
Assist with inventory accuracy & annual inventory count
Provide feedback to others to improve processes &
Work with co-workers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: Computer data entry skills. Microsoft Office and Excel experience. Prior work experience in customer service will be helpful. Keyboarding of minimum 25 words per minute.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and write English. Fluency (read and write) in French would be a terrific skill to have.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, bend, listen & speak
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The majority of duties are carried out in the office with some work in the warehouse. Noise levels are usually moderate. Non-smoking environment.
