Overview:
**Fountain Tire** is looking for an experienced
**Credit Administrator** to join the Credit team in our South Edmonton Corporate Head Office. This is a role designed for someone who is early in their credit career. The role will start with a heavy emphasis on administrative tasks and will transition gradually to take on more analytical tasks.

The credit administrator will be responsible to accurately maintain Fountain Tire account receivables; mitigating Fountain Tire’s credit risk and decreasing Fountain Tire’s overdue account receivables. Duties will include:

- Maintain records of liens.
- Discharge garage man’s liens.
- Register garage man’s liens, verifying lien registration and reporting on pending expiration of liens.
- Document and maintain task processes.
- Assist with collecting accounts receivables
- Respond to weekly or monthly needs of special handling customers.
- Prepare batch and spreadsheet summary.
- Respond to requests for trade references.
- Enter notes in system to create and maintain an ongoing record of collection activity.
- Provide missing invoices copies with customer as required.
- Liaise with external customers and Sales Team to reconcile AR accounts.
- Provide backup for Credit Analyst by running new accounts credit reports and requests for higher credit limits.
- Assist other team members as required.
- Participate in all safety initiatives, as required or assigned, to guarantee Safety at Fountain Tire.
- Assist in the development and attainment of the terms of the department’s service level agreement.
- Participate in developing department goals, objectives and company STI’s.
- Keep abreast of industry best practices that may impact corporate policies and procedures.

**The necessary experience, knowledge, skills and abilities required in the role**:

- High School Diploma required; Secondary school courses in Accounting, Business and/or Administration and 3-4 years related experience preferred; a combination of education and experience may be considered
- Working knowledge of credit best practices
- Proficiency working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) software
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers; includes excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills as well as a “do it right the first time” approach.
- Strong organizational and time management skills in order to effectively manage multiple priorities and competing demands within tight deadlines
- Ability to work within a team environment as well as individually
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Initiative in recognizing opportunities for improvement and efficiency
