Port Coquitlam, Canada Evergreen Demolition Ltd. Full time

Evergreen Demolition provides demolition and concrete cutting services with job sites across the lower Mainland.

We are seeking a Health & Safety Manager to oversee the company’s OHS program and provide leadership and strategic direction.

**Role and Responsibilities**
- The planning, organization, implementation and evaluation of the company’s occupational health and safety program.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety standards, OHS regulations and legislation.
- Promote health & safety awareness and education.
- COR certification: ensure compliance to maintain certification, annual internal COR audit.
- Coordinate site health & safety compliance with CSO, Project Managers & Site Superintendent.
- Develop Safe Work Practices, Safe Job Procedures, Exposure Control Plans, and site-related documents.
- Document management: monitor site and equipment document compliance.
- Employee training: establish guidelines, coordinate & track training and courses, new employee orientations.
- Investigate incidents, provide appropriate reports, handle injury management and WSBC claims, maintain records and statistics.
- Measure and evaluate overall health and safety performance and provide solutions and advice.
- Oversee the equipment National Safety Code Program, Preventative Maintenance Program.
- Meetings: report on H&S statistics and issues, make recommendations for improvement.
- Oversee JOHS Committee/Worker H&S Representative.

**Skills and Requirements**

They should have in depth knowledge of provincial health and safety legislation, standards and best practices, and a demonstrated passion and commitment to being a safety leader and holding others accountable to the highest level of safety standards.

Experience in demolition and concrete work practices, procedures and equipment would be considered an asset.
- CSO or NCSO certification
- (4) or more years related experience in a safety position acquired on construction/demolition sites
- COR Internal Auditor certification an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
