UWinnipeg's English Language Program (ELP) delivers high quality programming to international and domestic students seeking to enhance their English proficiency. ELP is seeking a **full-time term Registration Assistant** to assist with information dissemination, admissions, registration and records maintenance.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintains Registration Office and performs reception duties including receiving, screening, and directing calls and visitors, taking messages.
- Processes incoming mail, and prepares outgoing mail, arranging for couriers.
- Operates standard office equipment.
- Provides information and assistance to prospective and current students.
- Admits students into appropriate programs, and registers students into appropriate classes.
- Creates charges and processes payments and policy-driven refunds.
- Adjusts financial records.
- Assists with updating group and tracking lists.
- Issues letters of acceptance, registration statements, and computer username letters.
- Distributes documents to students.
- Processes the daily deposit, assists with maintaining cash float.
- Assists in the tracking of health insurance fees.
- Enters and verifies grades in Colleague.
- Processes graduation data in Colleague and creates transcripts.
- Ensures that all Registration Office forms are up to date and well stocked.
- Attends first day program orientation when required.
- Backs up Business Assistant with all duties.
- Processes language testing registrations and payments.

**Qualifications**:

- High school completion.
- 2-3 years customer service experience.
- International and/or multicultural work experience considered an asset
- Use of database systems.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Approachable and works well with others.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills.
- Highly developed organizational skills.
- Proven capacity to work effectively as part of a team.
- Proven capacity to pay close attention to detail.
- Proven capacity to meet deadlines.
- Ability to speak a second language an asset.

**An equivalent combination of education, experience, skills, knowledge and abilities may be considered.**

**Condition(s) of Employment**:

- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Able to work evenings or weekend (if required).

**Note**:The work described in this posting will be conducted in-person.

**The salary range for this position will be from $20.37 to $28.12 per hour.
