**Your Opportunity**:
The Working Leader in Diagnostic Imaging (DI) at the University of Alberta Hospital is the first point of contact for coordinating DI exam and is responsible for providing supervision and leadership to our larger patient transport team. This fast paced, dynamic role has the opportunity to work with multiple modalities and disciplines while providing exceptional patient and family centered care. Under limited supervision, the Working Leader, supervises and coordinates patient transport staff, patients, biopsy samples, equipment and services to all area of the diagnostic imaging department. The Working Leader also maintains the Service Worker I schedules, enters payroll, completes new hire orientation, ensures continuing annual education compliance and ensures quality and safety of service workers in accordance with established Alberta Health Services’ standards and practices. The working leader also assist in coordinating mobile General Radiography exams with the help of the technologists. The Working Leader must be able to communicating effectively with other health care professionals, use critical thinking to address daily concerns and situations, adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures and collaborate with DI Leadership to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our transport team. On Occasion the Working Leader will deliver patients to and from DI in a safe and professional manner and perform routine cleaning of equipment as needed.

**Description**:
As a Working Leader - Service Worker, you will be responsible for the coordination and supervision of a centralized system of dispatching patients, supplies, equipment and services to all hospital departments. You will provide supervision and daily leadership to Service Worker staff as well as input for staff performance appraisals and will assist in the orientation and training of new staff.

**Required Qualifications**:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
Valid Basic Life Support: Health Care Provider Level and N95 fit test. Previous portering experience or DI front desk experience. Demonstrated leadership skills and personal growth ventures.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Previous Diagnostic Imaging experience and Connect Care Grand Central experience an asset.
