Responsibilities Include:
- Meet or exceed yearly operational productivity improvement targets.
- Learn, develop and coach staff from all levels of the organization in Lean manufacturing principles, cultural transformation, Lean principles and the Six Sigma mindset.
- Will openly and effectively communicate about Six Sigma and Lean, build credibility through relationships, and provide leadership to the business.
- Demonstrate effective team facilitation and influencing skills to engage teams and deliver successful results on time.
- Use appropriate measurement, analysis and evaluation methods to accurately identify and document process improvements.
- Manage plant ISO-900l activities and site quality.
- Assist Department Managers in the development and implementation of strategic objectives and action plans for the plants and departments.
- Learn and provide lean methodology expertise for plant wide Kaizen deployment, including core tools: 5S, Standardized Work, and Problem solving.
- Provide event follow-up to monitor the progress of planned improvement implementation to assure timely action, appropriate management support, and achievement of expected benefits.
- Coach and develop a problem-solving culture at all levels of the organization.
- Possess an ability to communicate across the organization at all levels, from individual contributors to leadership level.
- Participate in division level teams or initiatives as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering or an equivalent level of degree.
- At least 3-5 years of Manufacturing work experience is required.
- Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn and utilize other Engineering and data management software tools.
- Ability to successfully complete Green or Black Belt training within first year.
- Ability to quickly learn Lean and 6 Sigma principles and to effectively utilize those skills.
- Ability to train others with varying skills and educational backgrounds.
- Ability to successfully manage cross functional teams and implement improvement within an established time frame, then sustain process improvements.
- Lean knowledge preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal communications Must be able to prepare and deliver presentations regarding project results.
- Willingness to travel approximately 5-20% of the time.
