**Who you report to**: Director, Financial Planning & Analysis

**What the job is all about**:

- Provide financial guidance and action to help drive and improve the forecast and budgeting processes.
- Enter/update financial data in our financial planning & budgeting software (Adaptive).
- Serve as Finance Business Partner to the R&D and Administration groups.
- Develop positive working relationships with key stakeholders in R&D and Administration.
- Finance lead on government assistance reporting (claims, status reports, etc.).
- Perform monthly headcount reconciliation and maintain New Hire data in Adaptive (new job reqs).
- Complete monthly upload of headcount and financial results in Adaptive and reconcile to the company’s ERP systems.
- Prepare P&L reports for R&D and Administration teams.
- Assist/support Director, FP&A with on-going insurance requirements and annual renewals.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives, ensuring process changes are properly implemented, documented and communicated.
- Complete and submit all government financial surveys.
- Perform backup duties for the FP&A Manager.
- Assist with the month-end process associated with several areas of the company.
- Ad hoc analysis and reports, as required per business needs.

**Who you are**:

- University degree in Business/Accounting or Commerce
- CA designation is an asset.
- Working experience with Workday Adaptive is an asset.
- Minimum one year of industry experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Advanced skill level with Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, etc.)
- Possess a strong level of critical and logical thinking, analysis and reasoning to identify underlying principles, trends, issues, etc.
