**About You**

You have excellent attention to detail, particularly in your Excel/Google sheet, financial models, and presentations. You have the ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. You are a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, the ability to think critically about data, and to produce presentations that provide actionable insights. You have ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

**The Team**:
The Finance department at Nanometrics is looking for a Financial Analyst. This role will be responsible for helping managers understand and manage the financial impact of their operations. The successful incumbent will need to learn and understand the business and help the business units link their activities to achieve strategic and operational objectives. As a trusted advisor and business partner, the Financial Analyst will have to have a strong understanding of finance and a pragmatic entrepreneurial curiosity to learn and promote business value.

**The Role**:
- Data extraction and analysis to develop, prepare, and report on financial information that is timely, accurate, reliable and relevant for effective business decision making (actionable intelligence)- Understand the goals of the groups you are supporting and respond to their evolving business needs through analysis and reporting on key drivers and metrics- Develop actionable management reporting (monthly and quarterly), dashboards and presentations that clearly communicate actual performance vs. budget and key metrics related to the performance of the business units and the company as a whole.- Participate in the development of operating budgets and forecasts at a departmental, business unit and full company level by working cross functionally with leaders across the organization- Ensure accurate business unit results which includes the preparation of management accounting journal entries- Implement workflow improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of outputs, including a drive for automated, ‘self-serve’ reporting- Collaborate with other departments to provide decision support and financial insights on a variety of ad hoc projects as needed

**What You Bring**:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant discipline- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar role- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills- Strong Excel skills; Ability to generate dynamic charts using Microsoft Excel

**Assets**- CPA designation or equivalent- Experience with Google Suite- Experience in a manufacturing environment
