**Salary**: $46,500.00 - $60,000.00/Year
Language Requirement: Bilingual
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (35 hours per week).
Job Reports To: House Manager
**Key Activities**:
- Under the direction of the National Arts Centre (NAC)’s House Manager and working at one of the Welcome Centres located in the main lobby space, the incumbent is responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the Visitor Experience Welcome Centres and employees assigned to this area of work, as well as their scheduling and training.
- The incumbent will welcome visitors, employees, artists, and partners in person, over the phone and online, in keeping with the NAC core values.
- Duties include but are not limited to:
- Greeting and interacting with individuals and parties who visit the Welcome Centre;
- Liaising with the NAC’s Volunteer Coordinator and our Security Team;
- Providing administrative support to the Visitor Experience Management team.
**Skill Requirements**:
- Fluently bilingual in both official languages;
- Completion of post-secondary education combined with a minimum of three (3) years of experience working with the public in a service-oriented role;
- Proven ability to supervise and motivate a small team;
- Ability to function as key liaison to various teams and projects;
- Experience in answering and triaging phone calls, or working in a call centre a strong asset;
- Ability to use an empathetic approach and to exercise strong interpersonal skills;
- Problem solving and resiliency skills are necessary to address the evolving needs of our visitors;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Teams, will be considered a strong asset;
- Capacity of exercising diplomacy and tact in dealing with complex and challenging situations;
- Superior organizational skills and multitasking abilities;
- The incumbent will on occasion work on a flexible and irregular schedule.
