**Position**:
EfficiencyOne is looking for a **Small** Business Energy Auditor** who will be responsible for providing energy auditing services for small businesses across the province. The Energy Auditor will be responsible for identifying energy efficiency opportunities at the customer's site(s)and managing the completion of the project. In addition, the Energy Auditor will provide technical support and work with third-party contractors to assist with energy efficiency upgrades within client buildings and facilities.

**A snapshot of what you will be involved with**:

- Screening small businesses for potential energy audit approvals based on potential energy savings. (Phone survey + screening tool)
- Developing an understanding of the mechanical and electrical systems within client facilities to make recommendations on energy-efficiency measures
- Completing technical audits, recommending energy efficiency technologies, and preparing and assisting with business cases (where applicable) for approval.
- Contributing to energy-efficient projects and assisting with the implementation of energy projects.
- Involved in Project management activities
- Managing a portfolio of projects for small business customers
- Providing accurate energy savings calculations and incentives to customers
- Tracking energy savings and rebates for internal targets
- Providing input and guidance on program changes, including the adoption of new measures, incentive changes, and process improvements
- Approving projects (savings and incentives) within an established threshold.
- Expected travel throughout the province
- Performing all other duties as required.

**What Will Help You Succeed?**
- ** **Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and eligible to practice as a Professional Engineer in Nova Scotia, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Minimum of five years of related experience in an energy-related role with experience developing and implementing energy management programs and/or energy savings projects.
- Designation as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and/or Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) is considered an asset.
- Demonstrate the ability to interpret electrical and mechanical plans and specifications for facilities.
- Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills; thrive in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment where problem-solving skills help meet tight deadlines.
- A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are required.

**What to expect in your first several weeks on the job**:
**In the first week, expect to**:

- Meet with the team.
- Review Evaluation Report and Program Manual.
- Review the Small Business Energy Auditor (SBEA) Documents (Standard Operating Procedure, Energy Audit Report, an Audit Screening tool

In the first month, expect to:

- Implementing process changes to the Audit Screening Tool
- Become familiar with and learn how our Customer Information System process works.
- Meet with the current Small Business Energy Auditor, Small Business Development Manager to review best practices
- Be familiar with the most popular measure criteria.
- Review past Audit projects for the implementation opportunities
- Become familiar with the Programs Process flow.
- Review the Audit Service Process Flow, and make changes where necessary

- Set audit service targets and goals with the Program Manager
- Implement process changes (updating Program Manual where needed)
